Thomas O'Donnell
Tom O’Donnell is a lead coach and consultant on Pendaran’s team of Lean experts.
Tom has spent over 30 years in the manufacturing industry with Ford Motor Company, specifically in the area of high production processes in gray iron and aluminum casting. He has worked on the plant floor in a variety of positions ranging from hourly to management positions. He additionally has 5 year of experience as lead instructor in the Experiential Learning environment of the Virtual Factory.
Tom’s blend of skills and experience give him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities that exist in the complex systems of manufacturing. His first hand experience in the success and failings of processes and structures in industry allows him to see quickly to the core of an organization’s problems. His strong communication skills enable him to reach employees across all levels of the organization, making his teaching and consulting credible and even more valuable.
Mr. O’Donnell is certified in Process Based Management, Six Sigma, Total Production Maintenance and Lean Team Wellness.
He is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College. His academic excellence has been recognized by induction into the Dayton C. Miller Society. Tom has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Business at the University of Detroit Mercy.
