Delbert Echols
Delbert Echols is an experienced facilitator in Lean Management principles and Collaborative Teaming. His experience includes a 35 year career with Ford Motor Company, during which he performed many roles and functions ranging from front line, plant floor supervisor to shift superintendent/Lean Manager, to Lean trainer/facilitator. Delbert’s excellent communication and interpersonal skills serve him well in successfully driving improvements in key business metrics.
Del’s successes have been measurable and sustained and include the following. As a Lean Team Manager, he implemented a workgroup based organization focused on continuous improvement. He designed and implemented training for a variety of levels in the organization and he and his team trained over 2300 production employees, 500 skilled trade employees and prepared front line supervisory staff by educating them on their new roles for salaried leaders in a lean environment.
Mr. Echols has made presentations on his experiences, most notably as a representative of Ford Powertrain Operations at the University of North Texas Center for Collaborative Teams. He work with plant floor teams has also been featured in magazine articles.
Mr. Echol’s excellent communication/facilitation skills serve him well in assisting teams in delivering greater efficiencies and more customer focused improvements in their respective operations.
