Martha Peterson Schatz, MD.

Pendaran, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Martha P. Schatz to the Pendaran Board of Advisors.
Dr. Schatz brings with her the experience of 20 years in the USAF, most recently as Chairman, Department of Ophthalmology, Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. During her tenure with the United States Air Force, in addition to her extensive medical practice, she served as Program Director of the Transitional Internship and Director of Continuing Medical Education. Dr. Schatz and her team were part of a successful large scale organizational change involving the merger of the Army and Air Force hospitals in San Antonio.
Dr. Schatz and her team have traveled extensively through Central and South America on humanitarian ophthalmic surgical missions. She has served as a Consultant to the USAF Surgeon General in Ophthalmology. She has published extensively and is regarded as one of the nation’s leading neuro- ophthalmologists. Presently, Dr. Schatz holds the position of Assistant Professor of Surgery and Chief, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Dr. Schatz will be advising Pendaran on the development and implementation of the Virtual Healthcare curriculum.
Babak Nivi
Babak Nivi is currently the founder of Venture Hacks.
His work in venture capital includes serving as an
Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Bessemer Venture Partners and Atlas
Venture. He was also an Associate at Seed Capital Partners.
His work in startups includes serving as a Vice President at Songbird
and an Advisor to startups including Grockit, Songbird, and Newroo.
He has S.B., M.Eng., and Ph.D. dropout degrees from MIT, where he
co-invented the technology for Kovio. He has two patents and has
published a paper in Science. He was also a NSF Graduate Research
Fellow at the MIT Media Lab.

Pendaran’s lead Software Developer has spent his 25 year career on the development of cutting edge of software in the manufacturing industry.
Specific areas of development and application include Research, Electronics, Advance Plant Floor Systems, Finance Systems and Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development. He is an expert in the creation of simulation systems for manufacturing environments used in training and used for testing Manufacturing Execution Systems, with his most recent product being the Pendaran, Inc. Virtual Workplace.
This key member of our team holds degrees from the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University and has further qualifications in Object Oriented Technology and Real-time Plant Floor Controls.
